What is Change Purse?
Change Purse is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to fighting sex trafficking through raising awareness and financially supporting faith based organizations that provide hope, healing, and restoration, through their direct work with victims and survivors of sex trafficking. Change Purse donates profits generated through collecting donated purses that are new or in like-new condition and selling them via the online store, awareness events, and home parties).
Change Purse launched in November 2010 by three stay at home moms who shared a love
of purses, coupled with a passion to fight sex trafficking. God gave them the idea for Change Purse and the rest is history. In their first year, Change Purse raised approximately $25,000. Since then, God has provided immeasurably more than could ever be asked or imagined.
Who are the faces behind Change Purse?
Change Purse has an intercessory Board of Directors. They spend time praying and seeking God for His mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Instead of possessing titles of rank or status, those at Change Purse identify themselves as Ambassadors after 2 Corinthians 5:20. The verse states that "we are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us." Their desire is that God would use them as His vessels to carry out His plans and establish His Kingdom by being involved in the battle to eradicate sex trafficking. This God-given mission involves encouraging hope and believing for the renewal of those who have been trafficked, those who are trafficking, and those who are purchasing commercial sex.
In all initiatives, Change Purse seeks God's direction and allows Him to lead in every decision made. All financial and business decisions are based on Hebrews 11:1, which says "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see." As Change Purse follows God's guidance and direction in all decisions, He will give His provision to see His will
come to pass.
Who does Change Purse support?
Change Purse donates 60% of all income to support the following faith-based organizations who work directly with potential and rescued victims, as well as survivors of sex trafficking.
The majority of our funding goes to support the following organizations:
We tithe 10% of our income to the organization, Caleb Company (http://calebcompany.org). Caleb Company's name was inspired by Israel's fearless warrior, Caleb, who along with Joshua, brought a good report concerning the land of Israel in the midst of great opposition. Caleb Company's mission is "to equip God's people with His heart and purpose for Israel and the nations." This mission is accomplished through teaching and preaching, both nationally and internationally; through training and equipping Israel tours, seminars, schools and internships; and through creating resources: books, curriculum, audio and visual products. Caleb Company believes that God's purposes are inextricably bound to His original covenant people, the Jewish people. Caleb also believes that people who bless Israel and the Jewish people will be blessed (Genesis 12:2-3). As Romans 11:12 says, "If their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring?" The "greater riches" of this passage will happen as the Jewish people embrace their own Messiah, Jesus (their fullness) and will usher in both unprecedented world revival and the second coming of Jesus.
Where Does the Money Go?
A summary of Change Purse's budget and overview of our giving is available here.
Change Purse supports faith based organizations because of the belief that full healing and restoration comes only through the power of Jesus Christ. II Corinthians 5:17 states "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone. The new has come." Jesus Christ is the Healer and Restorer, and the lives of victims and survivors, as well as purchasers and sellers of sex trafficking can be changed and transformed in beautiful ways by knowing His truth, His love, and His promises. Those who have been wounded can receive inner healing and freedom as the healing presence of Jesus comes into their lives and replaces their pain, trauma, brokenness, and emptiness. In Christ all things are made new and He gives the power to overcome. By investing into faith based organizations, victims and survivors can find their true value and worth, and discover the beautiful purpose that God has designed for them as they receive their inner healing.
